DMR is Now Open!
The official 2011 - 2012 ski season is upon us! Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort is open for (weekend) business with plenty of snow! Last Friday was the opening date for the 2011 - 2012 ski season and we couldn't be more excited! This upcoming weekend, December 2 - 4, DMR will be open from 9 am - 5 pm and next weekend the resort will open for daily operations (weather permitting). Over the past week the mountain has received about 13 inches of snow total and there are currently plenty of beginner and intermediate runs open. No expert runs are open yet, but be sure to keep checking back! We'll keep all you Purg lovers updated on the conditions and all the fun upcoming events! Be sure to mark your calendars for the Backcountry Experience BrewSKI Demofest! Three of your favorite things combined, snow, beer and gear! Thursday and Friday December 17 & 18 come up to Purgatory to demo all kinds of great winter gear from Backcountry Experience. After then be sure to sample some great craft beer from Steamworks & Ska.
