Durango Railfest is a very popular Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad event coming up August 18 - 21.  Train enthusiasts from all over visit Durango to celebrate railroads and the men & women who work them. This is the 13th Annual Railfest and the Durango train and all of Durango will be celebrating with a 4-day weekend featuring the Eureka & Palisade #4, RGS Goose #5, special train events, and a World Fast Draw competition.



This weekend long event has everything from train rides on historic trains to a shoot out on the old west stage.  You can come to ride all the trains or you can come just to enjoy all the fun events that go along with the trains.  All trips will provide numerous photo run-bys and opportunities to photograph passing trains and visiting equipment.  There will also be Yard Tours that will start at 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm and 2:30pm daily during Railfest. $10 per person.
