More snow in Durango!  There has been plenty of snowfall already this winter and the skiing and riding conditions at Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort couldn't be better.  Just over the past 10 days DMR is reporting 70 inches of new snowfall.  It doesn't seem to be slowing down either. There is a storm moving in that's expected to dump snow on Durango through the rest of the week.  DMR is predicting another 1-2 feet in the next 48 hours!

Durango Mountain Resort will be opening the brand new Ambassadors Glade this week.  Ambassadors Glade will be located on the front side of the mountain and will offer expert skiers 40 acres of new, steep and deep terrain.  Skiers will have two options, the left offers generously spaced trees and the right will offer thrill-seekers the chance to ski snow pillows and drop some cliffs.  Also be sure to check out Winterfest at Durango Mountain Resort.  You'll get the chance to try ice climbing, dog sledding, snowshoeing and other fun winter activities.  Winterfest will be January 15 - 17 at DMR with help from the experts at Backcountry Experience.  Bring the whole family and try out these fun winter activities for little or no cost!
