Start Gearing Up for Winter in Durango!

Winter is upon us! Durango Mountain Resort is working hard to get the mountain ready for our winter visitors and locals to hit the slopes! The projected opening date for the 2010/2011 season is November 25.  After last year's terrain expansion success, DMR has added even more for this season to the front side of the mountain. DMR now has 1,360 skiable acres, 20 percent beginner terrain, 45 percent intermediate terrain, and 35 percent advanced/expert terrain.  DMR has also expanded and enhanced their snowmaking to insure that mother nature does not get in the way of this season's skiing and snowboarding.
