Fall Foliage Update

The foliage is still beautiful in Durango!  A lot of the color changing has stalled over the past week. Up in the Purgatory area the colors are at their peak, in the town of Durango there is still a little more color change left for the rest of fall.  By the end of next week the colors will be starting to fade, so make sure you savor the last few days of fall!  Don't forget to join us for the Halloween festivities next weekend in Durango and be sure to catch one of the last few Pumpkin Patch Express trains this weekend and next.

We all know what is coming next!  The first snowfall is right around the corner, there's a storm coming through that could leave some snow in the higher elevations of the San Juans this weekend!  Durango will more than likely only see rain, but this just means everyone should start preparing for the snow!   The first snowfall last season was October 28th, do you think we'll beat the date this year?
