Animas River Days Festival in Durango, CO

The Animas River Days Festival  is a weekend full of fun to celebrate Durango's river, the Animas!  Join us June 10 - 13 for all sorts of river fun!  Throughout the weekend there will be river races, rodeos and even a costumed parade.  And we can't forget the fly fishing, where there will be a casting demonstration and competition.  There will also be plenty of dry land activities where you can enjoy art shows, the Animas River Clean up & BBQ, the Benefit Party Night at SKA Brewing, lots of fun contests and there will even be kid's activities for the little ones!  The best part?  You can even include your dog in the weekend celebration!  Enter in the doggie dress up competition, the best dry land trick or the fetch contest!  - Can you tell Durango likes contests?  It's going to be a great, fun filled celebration weekend and Durango would LOVE to see you there!  If you're from out of town make sure you book your accommodations today!

9:30-10:30 - Boat Registration
10:45 - Mandatory Competition Meeting
11:00 - Slalom Race
11:00-2pm - Fly Casting Clinic
11:00 - River Dog Fetching Contest with Dry Land Fetching Contest immediately afterwards
12:30 - Best Dry Land Dog Trick Contest
1:00 - Doggie Dress Up Contest
2:00 - Fly Fishing Clinic
5:00 - River Parade
7:00 - Party at Ska
Other Activities at Park (Saturday) - Face painting, Ska Beer Garden

06/13 - Sunday

9:00-10:00 - Down River
10:00-12:00 - Kayak Rodeo
12:00-2:00 - Inflatables Rodeo
12:00-2:00 - Clean-up/BBQ at Santa Rita Park
